Meeting at Night
Oleh: Robert Browning
The grey sea and the long black land;
And the yellow half-moon large and low;
And the startled little waves that leap
In fiery ringlets from their sleep,
The beach is pounded by the sea,
And the moon is at its ebb;
And the long black land lies straight and still,
And the startled little waves that leap,
The night-wind shakes the sleeping shore;
And the moon is at its ebb;
And the grey sea and the long black land
Are full of dark and whispering sound,
The night-wind stirs the sleeping tide,
And the moon is at its ebb;
And the grey sea and the long black land
Are full of dark and whispering sound,
The grey sea and the long black land;
And the yellow half-moon large and low;
And the startled little waves that leap
In fiery ringlets from their sleep.
